Yvette Meza-Vega is a TFA Alum and experienced educator passionate about inclusive practices and equitable outcomes in schools for both students and teachers. As a leader inside and outside the classroom she keeps her identity as a Latina, first-generation college going and daughter of immigrants at the forefront of her mind.
She is an experienced educator building and pushing for equity for her students and fellow educators. Outside of teaching she has a background in whole school event planning, coaching and supporting teachers, designing and facilitating workshops, and launching fellowships. In the near future, she hopes to take her experience and support other leaders with their growth and development. Her dedication to social justice and adult development stems from her experience navigating systems and structures unknown to her and her family.
Yvette is a proud native of Santa Ana, California. She graduated from the University of California with a bachelors in Psychology and double minor in Education and Chicana/o Studies. More recently, she completed her Master of Arts in Education - Urban Pedagogy at the University of Michigan.
