Dual Language Teacher Leader
Marjorie is the Dual Language Teacher Leader at the Rafael Hernández School, the first dual-language program in the city of Boston and in Massachusetts. She started her career as an educator when she became a Kindergarten Italian teacher in Panama City. In Boston, she previously served as a Humanities Middle School Spanish teacher and most recently as a bilingual Pre-K teacher for the Rafael Hernández School. Marjorie has worked as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Massachusetts Boston where she taught a course on language development and literacy for graduate students and supervised future, Early Childhood Educators, in their practicums throughout the state. She is in her second year of supporting the Boston Public Schools educators of color bilingual pipeline (BE/ACTT) as a co-facilitator and mentor for the Bilingual Early Childhood and Elementary cohorts.
