Welcome to Teacher Summer Institute 2017! For the first time ever, Boston Public Schools and the Boston Teachers Union are co-hosting an academic conference for teachers. TSI will focus on highlighting the best practices of some of our most passionate urban educators across BPS. Teachers, central office staff, and valued members of our community will join together to help bring a shared vision for instruction to life across the district. Please note, this is open to all educators, and is not exclusively for new teachers. We hope to see you there!
This interactive workshop is designed to help physical educators better understand and apply the newly revised BPS physical education (PE) curriculum maps and grade-level student learning outcomes. Participants will first build a foundation of knowledge of physical literacy. Then, through both cognitive and psychomotor engagement, participants will get to experience and bring to life standards-based PE curriculum. Information gained from the workshop will assist teachers in rigorous, standards-based unit design and assessment of student learning. Dress to move!
